Hi Mom, sorry it's late but Merry Christmas. I love you!

Dear Aunt Cathy, I know you remember me though it's been a very long time.  I remember your house being the ONLY place to be, there was love, family, laughter and your generous nature which was felt by me then and gather from these entries was just who you were always.  Though time and life can get in the way, and did, in keeping connections, I just felt a strong urge now to make an entry to say in the short time I knew you of how I felt about those "times.".  (many of the details fade but the feelings i have of the time i was able to spend at your house, was it on Coldspring?? Just came to me, its been like 30 + years.... I only hope that I can be as blessed to have anyone cross my path for a moment, so it seemed now, and walk away with the impact you left not only for me but obviously many others). I  smile while I write this because I know I will see you again when I get to our Fathers house, you will probably be one of many to greet me at the entrance and though it may take a sec to place the face since its been that long it won't take but a sec later once I see that smile and feel that warmth that I remember.  I just look once in awhile at the board dedicated to you and just wanted to share my memory because though very brief in the time spent obviously an imprint.

Mom, wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday!  This marks the 4th. Birthday without you. So surreal but I know you're smiling down from Heaven. I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss you. Munchie and Pepper wish you a Happy Birthday as well. Not one day passes without thinking of you. One day we will reunite,  I hold that close to my heart. Just know that the love and guidance you gave me, keeps me strong, when I am weak. All my love

Hi Mom, haven't written in a while. Every day I think about you. I guess I unfortunately struggle with the fact that you're with me each day from Heaven but not on earth.  I lost my best friend when we said we'll see each other later. I miss the phone calls, the road trips, Bada Bing pizzas, your physical presence in my life. So much has happened since you went to be with our Savior. I want to thank you for being the person,  I could only hope to be. Every life lesson you taught me,  I try to live. Thanks for teaching me how to enjoy all that life offers. My strength comes from God and you, so many times I've wanted to call it quits but your Spirit keeps me going. I  miss you,  Munch misses you, we all do. All my love and gratitude.

Mom, tomorrow marks 3 years ago that God called you safely home. Honestly I wish you could have lived so much longer but that didn't happen. Now I sit here today penning a letter on your legacy page, the days have passed but the hurt for you to be in our daily life's is a pain that has no relief. The tears will never dry up and the sadness continues to cut like a knife but I know that one special day we will reunite, rejoice and reclaim that time together we always shared.  I miss you so very much and words will never be enough but here it goes....Thank you for your love and being the greatest Mom that God ever created!  I love you

Hi mom, I miss you so much! Its been awhile since I have wrote you.  First and foremost I love you. Today is Madison's 5th birthday,  she loves you so very much,  like you love her. Has not been a very good year but I'll find a way to make it. Munchie misses you,  we all do. I thank you and God,  Jesus and the Holy Spirit for keeping me strong. Hello Momma, I did not forget mothers day, I just did not know how to put in words the feelings of how much we love you. There has not been one single day when we don't think about your smiling face and your amazing love for all of us. We could never pen the words that would adequately describe, what you mean to each and every one of us. I want you to know our hearts are broken but your care for us is not  unspoken, the tears still fall and they never seem to end and we realize not only a mom but our very best friend. We only hope we can be like you, to live and love and always be true until our last day is through. We love you Mom, thanks for all you continue to do.

Cathy, I think of you often. I hadn't seen you in years, but now I have days where I miss you and your family so much. Your home was a safe place for me many times. I was welcomed and became a fixture in the house...kind of like a human Snuggles. I know at times I probably got on your nerves, but you never showed it. You always treated me like family, and I felt the love you had for your children. I don't know how else to put it, but I just felt safe there. (also I had a crush on Kristy, which gave me plenty of incentive to spend time there :) ) 

I remember the patience you had with Brad and I. Even with Brad firing frozen Ho-Ho's at me from the kitchen, or indoor football destroying your living room, it took a lot to push you over the edge. :)  I remember the shame I felt the day I was thrown out of a game for swearing at the ump. I felt like I disappointed you. Of course I never told you any of this, because I was too shy or stupid. I held everything in. I would give anything to go back to those days again. Brad and Kristy's posts make me so happy to see that you never had any doubts about their love for you. You knew until your last day that your children loved and cherished you. There is no greater gift. 

I have so many memories...I remember before you could drive you'd walk with a cart and get groceries and walk all the way home. That made an impression on me even as a child. If I was over at meal time, you'd just feed me without asking. I could see how important your family was to you. I know that life wasn't always kind to you, but you fought and made the most of it. You were very strong deep down. I better stop now, I'm getting emotional lol.

Happy Mother's Day!

Momma I miss you so much. You were always a special part of my day. Memories of things we did and places we went together surround me. It's heartbreaking knowing those days are gone. I'll always be thankful for every precious day you were with us.
A year ago today, as we drove together to the doctor, I never imagined that we were spending our last day together. While we sat and talked, neither of us knew how seriously ill you we're. You would tell us what you wanted to do when you became stronger. You were determined to get better. You were always so brave. You never gave up. 
The next morning, when the doctors knew how ill you had become, I still never lost hope. I truly believed you would get through this. You always got better. As I stood beside you, I couldn't believe what they were saying. They must be wrong, not my momma. It couldn't be true. It didn't seem possible that we had to say goodbye. So suddenly. So unexpectantly. In an instant our life's changed forever. I didn't want to let you go momma. I would have held you forever. I will always be grateful that I was with you. 
Thank you for fighting so hard to stay with us.

Hello mama, last year you made yer final trip to Denver to spend Christmas here. The year has passed by and we still miss you so much! I know this Christmas you're spending it with Jesus, that is the most special Christmas ever! Thanks for all the memories so dear to our hearts, we miss you and want to say we love you. I will see you sometime soon but I know I have a lot to do on this earth before then. We love you!!

Mike and I are so sad and shocked to hear about your Mom's passing away so suddenly.  She was way too young to be taken away.  I remember her visits with you in your backyard and I would peak over the fence to say hello.  Looking at her picture above reminds me of her pretty smile she always had when we greeted each other in your driveway or in the backyard.  I know their isn't anything we can say to take the pain and saddness away from you right now, but just know that we are here for you on Palo Alto Ct.  I really miss you guys...

Kristy, Brad,Tommy and Kim I am so sorry...  I remember Aunt Cathy always being so nice, warm and fun.  The memory that sticks out most in my head, besides how much I loved going to that old house with the pool and hanging out with all of you, is my 8th grade graduation.  I needed a graduation dress so Aunt Cathy took the time to make mine.  I remember thinking how beautiful it was and how special I felt wearing it.  Sorry I cannot be there but you are in my thoughts and prayers, God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear this. I love this family so much. Cathy was like another mother to me growing up. I loved spending time in this home. I miss all of you. Kim, Kristy, Tommy and Brad, I love you guys.
