

Josephine M. Torner, age 96, died peacefully January 11, 2013 at home in Brookfield, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Monica Brzezinski, her beloved husband of 52 years, Charles C. Torner, and her dear daughter-in-law, Camille Torner. She is survived by her loving children Charles H. (Maryanne) Torner and Justine M. (Donald) Wyderka; dear grandchildren Kevin, Karen, Susan, and Sandra Wyderka; JoAnn (Joe) Gagnier, Charles T. (Lori) Torner and Nancy (Joe) Clynes; great-grandchildren Marielle, Francoise and Genevieve Gagnier; Jennifer and Catherine Torner; and Aidan Clynes.
Born in Milwaukee in 1916, Josephine grew up in St. Hedwig’s parish on the East Side. After she married, Josephine belonged to St. Mary Czestochowa parish and was an active member in the Holy Rosary Confraternity, the Altar Society and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was also active in Girl Scouts. Josephine worked for the Oster Corporation for over 25 years. Later, she moved to Oak Creek, where she became a member of St. Adalbert parish and was a volunteer and member of the South Milwaukee Senior Center. Visitation on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1755 N. Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, WI from 12:30 PM until time of Mass at 1:30 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fr. Gene’s HELP Program are appreciated.
