Aaron Hentoff, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on March 24, 2026.
Aaron is survived by his father, Steven Hentoff, his sister, Dasha Solomon (Rob), his brother, Jacob (Patrick), and was the proud uncle of Ari and Jack. He was predeceased by his mother, Ami Hentoff.
Aaron was a graduate of The Rivers School in Weston, MA, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University, majoring in biology. He also earned a master’s degree from the School of Public Health at Yale University.
He worked as a microbiologist for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and loved his work studying vector-borne diseases.
Aaron will be missed by his beloved dog, Sookie.
He was passionate about live music, dancing, politics, and drag queens. He held strong to his convictions and was always authentically himself.
A graveside service will be held at Beit Olam East Cemetery, 42 Concord Road, Wayland, MA, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11:00 am. Shiva will be held following the service at the home of Steven Hentoff.
