Distance didn't stop her from connecting with family, she would email, FaceTime, and text. Annette was traditional and loved making and delivering food for others to enjoy. If she knew that you liked something in particular, she would be sure to have it when you came to visit or bring it with her when she visited you. Family favorites included American Chop Suey, Chicken Soup, Beef Stew, Lasagna, Giblet Soup, Vegetarian Barley Soup and Cornflake stuffing. She and her sister, Eleanor, made the most delicious Éclair Cake. She especially loved treating her children to their favorite restaurant, treats and sweets. She made sure the family house pets were fed before we sat down to eat our dinner because they could not help themselves. Mom had a special love for cats, although we had a rabbit, cat, dog, fish, gerbils and mice growing up as well. Mom was not the biggest fan of dogs, however, she would take Ron’s dog for walks when she visited him to help out. When visiting bath, she enjoyed picking dandelions in the yard for her rabbit, Snowball, because he loves dandelions.
