BONDER, Arnold Chester “Chet” of Newton, formerly of Brooklyn, NY and Lynbrook, NY. Entered into rest on March 28, 2011. Beloved husband, for close to seventy years, of Muriel (Winkler) Bonder. Devoted father of Cheryl (and Gary) Fertig, Michael (and the late Joyce) Bonder, and Joel (and Kim Holmes) Bonder. Cherished grandfather of Jessie Fertig, Jonathan (and Helen Silver) Fertig, Cherie Bonder Dennis, the late Robert Bonder, Abby (and Zack) Bluestone, and Joseph Bonder. Loving great-grandfather of Emmett Dennis. Navy veteran of World War II. Chet’s indomitable spirit and love of life and family inspired him to defy the medical odds and live to enjoy ninety-two wonderful years. He will be missed and remembered with love…. Graveside services will be held at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont, NY on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Memorial observance will be at his late residence, 210 Nahanton Street, Newton, MA on Saturday, April 2, from 5:00 PM-8:30 PM (minyan at 7:30 PM).
