

Arthur J. Freeman of Brookline, formerly of Evanston, IL died on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Professor Freeman worked as the associate director of the Magnet Lab at M.I.T., and then as Morrison Professor of Computational Physics at Northwestern University in Illinois for many years.
Beloved husband of Doris Caro-Freeman for 25 years. He is survived by his children Seth Freeman and Sarah Packer and 4 grandchildren. Two of his children predeceased him, Jonathan and April Freeman. He is also survived by his step-children, Jeff Grossman and Anne Grossman-Bernheimer and 6 step-grandchildren. Brother of Sydney, Mildred, and Harold, all deceased.
Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Thursday, June 9 at 9:30am. Interment at Crawford Street Memorial Park, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. Following the interment, memorial observance will commence in the Community Room at 100 Centre Street, Brookline through 1:45pm.
