

She graduated from Boston State Teachers College in 1958.
Bernice worked as a history teacher in the Chelsea Public Schools. After her marriage to Richard Charles Gully, they started a family in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Later, they moved to Villanova, Pennsylvania and then back to the Boston area. During that time, she was a very active and involved member of the Lower Merion Committee for Special Education, the League of Women Voters, and a pivotal member of the board of trustees and treasurer of the 15 Concord Avenue and 7 Wyman Street Trusts. She was an accomplished needleworker, a voracious reader of history tomes, mysteries and newspapers, a lifelong learner in the LLAIC community, a financial wizard, and a committed advocate. Above all, she was a beloved and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a dear and loyal friend, and an inspiration to many.
Bernice is survived by her children: Alexandra Jocelyn Gully of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Mark Lewis Gully of Arlington, Massachusetts, and Pamela Rochelle Gully, her husband, Brett Goldstein, and their children, Claire Emily Goldstein, Samuel Aaron Goldstein, and Jacob Ryan Goldstein of Potomac, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ida Savlov Ratute, and husband, Richard Charles Gully.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 in Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., Brookline, MA at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering at 7 Wyman Street, Arlington, Massachusetts.
