Beverly (Wolf) Albert, age 73, of Brookline, passed away on July 17, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in October 1951, she was the daughter of the late Lucy and Irving Wolf. Beverly grew up in Philadelphia and Broomall, PA, was a graduate of Temple University, and received her master’s in counselling psychology from Tufts University.
In a yoga class at her local JCC in the fall of 1974, she met Harvey, her husband-to-be, to whom she was married for 50 years. She worked as a school psychologist in Hopkinton and Wakefield, MA public schools for 10 years until becoming a mother upon the birth of her son Zachary in 1994.
A resident of Brookline since 1985, she was an avid Phillies and Red Sox fan, loved music and dancing, was an exceptional piano player, had a deep connection with Judaism and her beloved Temple Emeth, and was a skilled baker of a wide variety of signature Bev cookies, cakes, pies, frosting, and more. Despite numerous health challenges and limitations, she loved dancing with her friends every day at Zumba classes and even appeared in a documentary about the very special Zumba community which was initially formed during the pandemic.
Beverly, beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, is survived by her husband, Harvey; her son and daughter-in-law Zachary and Laura; her two grandchildren, Cyrus and Nellie; her sister and brother-in-law Elyse and Fred Lavner; her brother and sister-in-law Edwin and Stacy Wolf, and extended family, all of whom she loved dearly. Her uplifting spirit, humor, enduring sparkle, and loving presence will be greatly missed by all.
