Burton Joseph Miller, aged 87, passed away at his home in Newton on Sunday, February 22, 2015. He was the son of the late Myer & Dorothy (Rosenthal) Miller of Malden, MA. Burt was the beloved husband of Nesha (Ruby) Miller for 63 years. A loving father of daughters, Lisa Miller Ryan (Jerry) and Rosanne Miller Payette. He was the adored grandfather of S. Jason Katz (Aga), Amir G. Katz, (Devra), James “Rafi” Katz, Drew and Emma Payette. Burt was the longtime owner of Brookline Liquor and founder of Classic Wine Imports, Inc., Allston. He served in the Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, BROOKLINE at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Interment is at the Temple Mishkan Tefila Memorial Park, Centre St. West Roxbury. Memorial observance will be held at his home immediately following interment on Tuesday and will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
