

Charles T. Skulsky, a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, age 76, of Marshfield, MA and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer for over a decade. He was called the ‘miracle’ by his doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital. Charles was the son of Sara (Tamres) and George Skulsky. He was born in 1938 in Plymouth, MA, and resided in Hingham, MA for 31 years, before moving to Marshfield 17 years ago. He attended Plymouth High School, Northeastern University, and Boston University. Charles was an innovative leader in the fence industry, well known for the companies he was connected to: Reliable Fence, Expert Fence, and more recently Perfection Fence. His ability to assess the needs of his clients and design solutions that were not only functional but aesthetic was unparalleled. There was no type of project that he could not handle; from the largest, most complicated, to the simplest. He developed and maintained working friendships with his customers that spanned decades. Besides his exuberance for his business dealings his passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being a part of their academic and athletic achievements. He was a Mason for 50 years, brought up in 1965 at the Ezra Lodge in Taunton, and more recently a member of the Daniel Webster Lodge in Marshfield. He also belonged to the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalind, of 51 years, sons David (Barbara), Bryan (Heather), and Todd (Ana Lucia), grandchildren Aaron, Rachael, Jillian, Marissa, Vinicius, and Ethan, and sister Beryl. Charles was a consummate family man and friend to all. A funeral service will be held at Congregation Sha’aray Shalom, 1112 Main St., Hingham on Friday, January 2 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon. The family will receive friends at his home on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 6pm to 9pm each day. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to support the Melanoma Research Fund under the direction of Dr. Donald Lawrence.
