

Charlotte Werlin Spector passed to heavens peaceful rest, on January 24, 2014 in Tamarac, Florida while in the presence of family. Her resume lives on in the memories of those who love her. Her greatest accomplishments included a deeply loving marriage of 52 years to her husband Robert and seeing her two sons, Richard and Kenneth prosper and go on to raise families of their own. She is adored by her daughters-in-love, Janet and Laura and cherished by her four grandchildren Steven and Danielle, David and Karen. Charlotte was born on July 7, 1930 in Malden, Massachusetts to Rebecca and Joseph Werlin. As a youth she made many lifelong friends and, over the course of time, made many more. After high school she attended and graduated from the Chandler School for Women. She was employed for several years prior to taking some time off to raise her family. Charlotte married the late Professor Emeritus Robert M. Spector on December 17, 1955 and lived for 51 years in Framingham, Massachusetts. She belonged to Temple Beth Am in Framingham where she carried on the Jewish tradition.
Charlotte was a regular contributor to several charities with her favorite being the Worcester State University Scholarship fund. Robert and Charlotte were strong supporters of Worcester State, which grew from a small teachers college to a major Massachusetts university. Charlotte is also survived by her sisters Gloria Shear, Rose Melnick, the late Pearl Bates and their families.
Funeral Services will be held at Temple Beth Am, 300 Pleasant Street, Framingham, Massachusetts on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 12 noon followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA. Memorial observance will take place at her late residence following the burial until 9:00 PM and continuing Wednesday 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Worcester State Foundation, Robert M. Spector Scholarship Fund, c/o Office of Institutional Advancement, 486 Chandler Street, Worcester, Massachusetts 01602 is requested.
