David B. Wheinstone

David B. Wheinstone was born in Boston on April 28, 1938 and passed away on August 30, 2025 at the age of 87. He leaves Irene, his wife of 59 years, to cherish his memory. His sister, Jocelyn, predeceased him.

His neighbors appreciated his good humor, his ability to fix anything, and his extensive collection of tools, which he was always happy to lend.

When he was growing up, building things became his passion. Not surprisingly, he became an engineer. He received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from Northeastern University. His career was in research and design in aerospace and medical instruments.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Crawford Street Memorial Park, located at 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA, 02132.

The service is scheduled for September 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM.

Shiva will be held at the family residence immediately following the interment until 4:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday, September 3 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.

Donations in David's name may be made to Combined Jewish Philanthropies, WGBH Boston, or a charity of your choice.
