

Dennis H. Pruslin, 78, of Wellesley on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Son of the late Kalman Pruslin and Shirley (Friedman). Husband of Marian (Alben) Pruslin for 56 years. Father of Stewart E. Pruslin and his wife, Melissa, of Wilmington and Rebecca P. Gardner and her husband, Thomas, of Atlantic Highlands, NJ. Grandfather of Kevin William Pruslin. Twin brother of Stephen L. Pruslin and his partner, Charles Renwick of London. Cousin of Penny Mazziotti of Palm Bay, FL. Born in Brooklyn, NY,
Dennis attended MIT where he did both his undergraduate and graduate work in the field of electrical engineering. Graduating with his doctorate in 1966, he took a job at MIT Lincoln Laboratory where he worked for 53 years, retiring this past January.
He enjoyed researching the latest developments in the fields of photography, audio-visual systems, automobiles, and electronics. A jack of all trades and a master of almost every one, he was the source of advice to both family and friends in these areas and many others. His children’s and grandson’s interests became his own as well. Dennis loved jazz. He was an avid runner and ran in eleven marathons. He is remembered by many for his wit, humor, wise counsel and his role as mentor.
Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Monday, July 30 at 12noon. Burial will be private.
Memorial observance at his late residence from 7:00-9:00pm, continuing on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm and on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm.
