Elaine L. Stiller

Elaine L. (Brodie) Stiller, formerly of Chelsea, Winthrop and Framingham, age 92. Entered into rest on January 29, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Stiller. She was a devoted mother to Mel Stiller and his wife Jan Latorre-Stiller of Waltham, Lauren Rikleen and her husband Sander Rikleen of Wayland, and Claire Newman and her husband Joel Newman of Reading. Loving sister to the late Sylvia Waterman and the late Private Melvin Brodie. Cherished grandmother to Michael Stiller, Beth Parsons, Alex Rikleen and Ilyse Rikleen. and great-grandmother to Emma and Carly Stiller, and Will and Luke Parsons. Elaine played a prominent role for many years in the family business, H. Brodie Company. She rose to leadership roles in the Winthrop Chapter of Hadassah, the Winthrop Chapter of the American Jewish War Veterans, and the Young Couples Club affiliated with their Winthrop synagogue. Musical and creative, she played piano, enjoyed singing, and wrote, directed, and acted in musicals for the organizations with which she was affiliated. Services at Temple Shir Tikva, 141 Boston Post Road, Wayland on February 1 at Noon. Interment following at Ahavath Achim Anshe Sfard Cemetery, Lynn. Memorial Observance following the interment from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, and on Monday and Tuesday, February 2 and 3 from 3:00 – 9:00 pm at the home of Lauren and Sander Rikleen.
