Eleanor Pearlman, 83, of Burlington, MA and Silver Spring, MD, passed away on November 29, 2025.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, John L. Pearlman and her daughter, Rebecca Feld. She is survived by her daughter Nomi Burstein, her sons-in-law Harold Feld and Michael A. Burstein, her grandson Aaron Feld, and her granddaughters Sheva and Yael Burstein.
Eleanor was a graduate of Malden High School (class of 1959). In 1963, she graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from Bouvé-Boston College, which was housed at Tufts University while she was a student there. She worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a physical therapist until the birth of her first child and then - after the birth of her second child - in private physical therapy practice until 1987.
Eleanor loved art, both appreciating and creating. She took watercolor painting classes after her retirement in 1987 and then expanded her artistic pursuits to painting on silk, designing and crafting the wedding canopy for her younger daughter and son-in-law’s wedding. She was a skilled seamstress and sewed her own wedding dress for her 1964 wedding to John L. Pearlman. She also had a great passion for learning, especially topics related to Judaism. She loved to travel to historic sites, both locally in the Boston area and on her multiple trips with John to visit friends and family in Israel. Eleanor was a devoted mother and grandmother, always available to answer questions or to lend a helping hand.
