Elizabeth Verveer Tishler, age 104, of Middletown, CT formerly of Westfield, NJ and Boston, MA on Feb. 14, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Max Tishler, devoted mother of Peter and Sigrid Tishler of Watertown MA, Carl Tishler and Bonnie Katz , and former daughter-in-law Karen Tishler, of Gahanna OH. Dear grandmother of Jordan and Lori Tishler, Alison Tishler, Jacob Tishler and Ariel, Maya and Ben Sinvany, cherished greatgrandmother of Ellie Tishler, Alex, Joshua and Ben Cantrell. A graduate of Jackson College (Tufts University), she was an accomplished pianist and sculptor, and a lifelong supporter of education in the arts and sciences. Service at 10 AM Sunday February 16, 2014 at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street Brookline, burial in Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton Street Sharon. Memorial observance following burial from 2 until 8PM at the home of Jordan and Lori Tishler, 23 Loveland Rd. Brookline MA. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Elizabeth Verveer Tishler Piano Competition at either Wesleyan University (Department of Music, 45 Wyllys Ave, Middletown, CT 06459) or Tufts University (Department of Music, 20 Talbot Ave, Medford, MA 02155).
