Esther Kaplan

KAPLAN, Esther (Goldstein), late of Beverly and Peabody, MA, formerly of Randolph, MA and Lake Worth, FL, entered into rest, July 21 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Kaplan, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Esther was a Pittsburgh native and the daughter of the late Rose and Nathan Goldstein and sister of the late Ida Pittler. Loving mother of Brad Kaplan of Portland, ME and Bonnie and her husband Arnold Goldsmith of Beverly, MA. Also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Tali Kaplan, her great-grandchildren, Ruvi and Romy Kaplan, her sister-in-law, Ida Rotman and her nephews and their families. Esther was active in the Parents League of Hebrew College and the Girl Scouts and always followed the Red Sox. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 1:00 pm at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE. Interment will follow at Kaminker Cemetery, Baker St., WEST ROXBURY. Shiva will be observed through Thursday evening at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
