While I have known Evye casually for many years, we truly bonded as special friends when we were both in rehab at Whittier four years ago. Recovering at the same time and going through many issues together, I discovered what a special gift Evye was to me and all who knew her. We spoke often and my husband and I were able to visit them in Arizona a few months before her stroke. We spoke often about keeping a positive attitude and it was always a joy to speak with Evye. The fact that I had Michael in first grade and was able to reunite with him made everything even more special. There is a big hole in my heart but reuniting with Michael and staying in touch with the family will keep her memory and life alive in my heart and head. Rest in peace my good friend. You will be sorely missed.

On Evyie Evyie, where should I start? The day that AE pulled you and Jim over so we could meet you and pick you up at the airport monthly for a year? That instant the 4 of us became families together in love not blood. Vacationing in N H when we all had a different nap schedule( I hear you chuckling at this!) All the days at Aunt Carol's pool, talking talking talking. You had a wonderful life with a husband who adores you, children and grands adore you as well. And friends! Having you as a friend is beyond gold and diamonds. We always signed off our calls with I love you, I love you, rest, you made us all better for having known you.
