Gerald Altman

Gerald Altman of Newton, died peacefully at his home at the age of 92 on Friday, 30 January 2015. Beloved husband of Estelle Black Altman for 66 years; loving father of Karen Kopelman and husband Bruce, Mark Altman and wife Joan, and Bruce Altman and wife Laura; loving grandfather of Douglas and Nicole Kopelman, Adam and Michelle Kopelman, Samantha Kopelman, Alexander and Harry Altman, Grace and Henry Altman; and great grandfather of Sophia and Dylan Kopelman. He served in World War II in the Army Air Force as a radar weather officer in the China Burma India Theater and was a prominent patent and trademark attorney in Boston for 60 years. A service will be held at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Sunday, 1 February 2015 at 12 noon. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following at his home until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
