Haskell Shapiro

For 55 years the beloved and devoted husband of Arline (Siel). Loving father of Barry Shapiro & his wife Jinky and the late David Shapiro. Cherished “Zaydie” of Jacob, Jonah and Joshua. Adored brother of Naomi Greene Sherman & her husband Arnold and Marshall D. Shapiro & his wife Amy. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Thursday, October 22, at 12:00 noon. Burial at Adath Israel Cemetery, (Jeshurun Street), 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury. Following the burial, shiva will commence at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton and will continue at the home of Marshall & Amy Shapiro daily from 1pm – 4pm and again at 7pm – 9pm, (excluding the Sabbath) concluding on Wednesday morning. Remembrances may be made to the David Shapiro Israel Scholarship Fund at Temple Emanuel.

Haskell will always be remembered for his brilliance, generosity, humor and kindness as well as his dedication to his family, friends and community. To his former real estate title colleagues, he will always be ‘The Answer Man.’ May his memory forever be a blessing and an inspiration for us all to make a difference.
