Herbert M. Kamowitz

Herbert M. Kamowitz, age 86, of Brookline on Monday, May 28, 2018. Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. For 62 years, he was the beloved husband of Elaine (Heyman). Devoted father of Sylvia Kamowitz-Hareven, Anne Kamowitz Diamond and the late David Kamowitz and father-in-law of Itai Hareven, Tzvi Diamond and Sharon Kamowitz. Loving stepfather-in-law to Marvin Getman. Beloved Papa to Josh, Abby, Emily, Nadav, Sarai, Yoav, Ariel, Sarah, Rafi, Yona and Eliana. Loving great grandfather to Menucha, Plia and Hallel. Dear brother of Carol Winn & her husband Steve.

Services at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Tuesday, May 29 at 11am. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon.

Shiva will be held at 1111 Beacon Street (Apt. 78), Brookline between the hours 2:00–5:00pm and 7:00–9:00pm. Mincha-Maariv at 7:45pm.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or to the charity of your choice.
