

Hillel Sharlin Todres passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014, after a long battle with addiction. He was 22, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Waban, MA. Hillel attended Newton Public Schools, graduating from Newton South High School, and attended briefly the University of Arizona. He and his family were members of Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline, MA. Hillel is survived by his devoted mother, Dr. Judith Sharlin, his half-brother Jonathan Todres and half-sister Nadia Todres, his uncle Jonathan Sharlin, his aunt Miriam Sharlin, and his cousins Leah, Jonah, and Daniel Bury. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. David Todres. Graveside services will be held at Beit Olam Cemetery, 61 Old Sudbury Road, Wayland, MA at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2014. Following the service, memorial observance will be at the home of Joyce Spector until 8:00PM.
A memorial service will be held at The Life Center located at 10473 Old Hammond Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Hillel leaves behind a mourning community of devoted friends, family, and the AA fellowship. He was full of life, always willing to help his friends, and will be remembered for his contagious smile.
