I taught with Irving for twenty years at Boston Latin School.  We had lots of laughs together; he was a great colleague, a true gentleman.  My condolences to his family and friends.  Most wonderful about Irving was his true love of his work and the respect he gave to all his students and colleagues.  God bless his noble soul.

Mr. Krutter was one of my favorite teachers while a student at Boston Latin. I am so sorry to learn of his passing.

Irving was a devoted teacher at Temple Shalom'sReligious School in Newton for many years. I served as the Principal at the time.  I remember him well and send my condolences to the family.

My condolences to the Krutter family. I have known Irving (and Forrest) since 1980 while serving together on the Tifereth Israel Cemetery Board. I remember Irving to be a devoted secretary, always with good humor, and care and concern for the cemetery and the brotherhood. Men like Irving were the bridge to my ancestors who also served on the committee, and I am a better person for having known and worked with Irving and Forrest. My best to the family.

Mr. Krutter was a skillful teacher and a popular member of the Boston Latin School Community, always ready to offer assistance to a colleague or a student. His kindness was especially exemplified in the loving manner in which he spoke of his wife, Shirley, and his children, Forrest and Marlene. I especially remember his reflections on family vacation trips and his exhortations to spend summers driving around America.

Mister Krutter was a wonderful teacher at BLS for many years. He not only taught me how to type, he taught me what it was to be a gentleman. He will be missed, and may God Bless his Family.

It is with great sadness that I write to you of the passing of my father, Irving Abraham Krutter (AvrahamYitzchok Ben Nachum v'Merel). Dad passed peacefully at the age of 90 shortly after midnight on the Sabbath, March 2, 2013 (20 Adar 5773) surrounded by his family and caregiver.  He was a loving husband of 59 years, caring father to my sister, Marlene, and I, a devoted teacher for almost fifty years in the City of Boston and a committed member of the Mishkan Israel community in Dorchester until its close and thereafter of the Boston Synagogue.  May his memory be a blessing.

The funeral will be at 3 PM tomorrow (March 4) at the Tifereth Israel Cemetery in West Roxbury.  Please contact me for Shivah hours at my mother's/sister's home in Brookline or at Lisa's and my home in New Hampshire.
