My sincere condolences to the entire Shaw family.  I grew up with Jimmy at Temple Shalom,  as he was in all my religious school classes and we were great friends from 2nd grade right through high school. I was very much shocked and saddened by his death.i saw him last 4 years ago and it was like no time was ever lost.He will always be remembered in a wonderful way.
May time and loving memories heal you.

To my family I have just learned of my cousin Jimmy's death...needless to say I was shocked...my condolences to all of my family on the passing of Jimmy...I will remember him always for his smile and wit...He was the colorful one amongst the cousin's....noone could make the cousin's"ivories " sing like Jimmy...my mother Mary Gitelson always got a kick out of Jimmies visits and would always tell me "he has such beautiful red hair"...a spark of life has been snuffed out too soon....g-d speed..I will miss you always and you will live on in our hearts and memories.....Your cousin , Beth Gitelson -Chiet

Jimmy was a devoted and long time childhood friend of my dearly departed sister, Helen Gordon Dillon.   I have fond memories of him coming to our home in Newton and playing the piano and crashing down our basement with the other kids. He kept in touch with my mother, Bella, for all the years that followed. He always had a great joke or funny story when he “checked in” with my mother faithfully for all those years. He was a very special and funny man, as well as talented and witty. We will cherish our memories of Jimmy forever. We will love you and miss you always and you will live in our hearts and prayers for eternity.

Jimmy had a way of entering a room and filling it with light, love and laughter.  He charmed all who knew him with his undaunting humor and more than winning personality.  I know everyone he ever touched in his life will miss him dearly.  Ida, he was only worried about you.  He loved you with all of his heart and soul.  This is a tragedy beyond compare.  I know Sam is looking after him now and he is safe.  My heartfelt sympathies for this greatest of losses.
