

Jerald Fishman, of Weston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, after a sudden heart attack. Jerry was raised in Flushing, NY, attended Bronx High School of Science, and graduated from City College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. While working full time, he earned his Master’s in Engineering at Northeastern University, an MBA from Boston University, and his JD from Suffolk University Law School.
Jerry joined Analog Devices in 1971 in product marketing, and he worked his way up to become Analog’s President and CEO in 1996. In his over 40-year career at Analog, Jerry was widely admired for his strong leadership, integrity, and unpretentious style. In 2004, he was named CEO of the year by Electronic Business magazine, and in May 2009, Jerry received an Honorary Doctorate at Brown University.
Jerry’s true passion was his family. He was a loving husband to Dale Fishman for 40 years, and a devoted father to his two children, Elizabeth and Andrew Fishman, and their spouses David Lerch and Jessica Fishman. Jerry’s favorite family activities included sharing his wisdom through humorous poetry, attempting to navigate his boat through the fog in pursuit of adventure, and rescuing his dog Midnight from disaster.
Funeral services will be held at Temple Beth Elohim, 10 Bethel Road, Wellesley on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00PM. The burial will be at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon.
Following the burial, shiva will be at the Fishman residence until 8:00pm and Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 970002, Boston MA 02297.
