JOSEPH DAVIS of West Roxbury, formerly of Needham. Entered into rest October 14, 2017 at the age of 99. Mr. Davis was born in Chicago. He was raised and educated in Queens NY. Being the proud Owner of Joe Davis Photography for 55 years, he created lifetime Wedding and Bar Mitzvah memories for countless families in Greater Boston. Joe was a veteran who served in Western Europe and Africa during WWII. Joe was a proud & devoted husband , father, grand father, great grandfather & brother. He shared 62 years of marriage with his beloved late wife Ellen (Order) Davis. Devoted father of Susan Lurgio of Dunbarton, NH and Robert Davis & his partner Richard Petruzzelli of Jamaica Plain. Father-in-law of the late Ross Lurgio. Loving brother of the late Ralph Davis. Loving grandfather of Jonathan, Rebecca, Sara & Adam Lurgio. Loving great grandfather of Sebastian Perry and Jocelyn Lurgio. Uncle of many nieces & nephews. Services and Interment Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, CANTON, MA 02021. Memorial observance will be held at Sophia Snow Place, 1215 Centre St., West Roxbury MA immediately following the interment on Tuesday 3-8 pm.
