Lena Solomon passed away peacefully on November 11th in Boston while watching the University of Georgia football game with her son. She was born on November 25th, 1915, in Poughkeepsie, New York to William and Gussie Feldman. The family moved to Charleston, South Carolina when she was 2. When she married Samuel Solomon, they moved to Savannah, Georgia, the place she always considered her home. She worked side by side with her husband at Solomon Furniture Company until retirement in 1979. She is survived by her son, Harold and his wife Milly, and her daughter Sydney and her husband Steven Ratnow, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest legacy is that she is loved by so many far beyond her family.
