

Professor Leonard A. Gould of Dedham, on Saturday, September 08, 2012. Professor Gould graduated from the Yeshiva of Flatbush and Midwood High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. He received a B.S. in 1948 and the Sc.D. in 1953 in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a member of the M.I.T. faculty from 1950 until his retirement in 1996, then becoming Professor Emeritus. He was a Fullbright Research Fellow at the Technical University of Denmark (1957), a Visiting Professor at the Chr. Michelsen Institute (University of Bergen) of Norway (1968) and at the University of Mexico (1970). He was co-author of Analytical Design of Linear Feedback Controls (1957), author of Chemical Process Control (1969), and published many technical articles in the field of control. He leaves his wife Emma of Dedham, his nephew Neal Spevack of New York and niece Sue Graze of Austin, Texas.
