

Loving wife and mother Linda H. (Entes) Bressler, of Brookline, passed away on March 28 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her husband Stephen and son David and his partner Rebekah were with her. Linda will be remembered for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile.Linda, known to her friends as Lin, was born to parents Irving and Hilda Entes. Linda attended school in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School. She later attended and graduated from Northeastern University majoring in Sociology/Anthropology. While an undergraduate, for a time she served as a teaching assistant to Professor Mary Bateson.Linda and her husband of 52 years were active members of Congregation Beth Pinchas where she served as president of the sisterhood..While at Northeastern, Lin worked at the Red Cross during the Vietnam War, facilitating communication between our soldiers and their families in the U.S. She also worked at the Northeastern University Department of Radio Production and as a volunteer with the service organization The Student Union.Lin was an administrative assistant at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (Big Gift Division), in the international division at Camp, Dresser and McKee and later was staff accountant at tax law firms Arthur Golden and Associates and Vacovec, Mayotte, and Singer.Linda loved to go to flea markets and spent many summer vacations on Cape Cod in West Dennis, Wellfleet, and Provincetown.Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years Stephen, and son David and his partner Rebekah and their daughter Lilia, her sister Roberta Einziger and husband Ronald, sister-in-law Miriam Kleiner, and nieces and nephews, many friends and former colleagues. Services will be held privately.
