Linda Dunay

Linda Dunay age 74, of Las Vegas, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Loving sister of Charlotte Bailey and sister-in-law of the late Abraham Bailey. Dear sister of the late Diane Klein and sister-in-law of Eddie Klein.

Born in Boston to the late Benjamin & Ethel (Grovman) Dunay. Adored Aunt of Howard Bailey & his wife Judy, Caren Kimball & her husband Dan, Donna Frank & her husband Harley, Ilene Klein & her husband Howard Luftman, and Howard Klein & his husband Jeff Costa. Cherished Great Aunt of Michaela, Morgan and Zachary Bailey; Adam, Hannah and Rachel Kimball; Ross, Adrienne and Drew Frank; and Meagan and Lauren Luftman.

Linda graduated from Newton High School. She then graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, studying Education and Hospitality. Linda started her career at Valle’s Steak House in Newton, but she often relocated for opportunities around the country. Through the years she was Director of Catering for hundreds of weddings and other events at major hotels. Her most recent employment was at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, until her passing.

Linda loved life and she loved people. Every place she lived, she made friends. Linda often traveled back east to be with family, especially around the Jewish holidays. A kid at heart, she was always playing games and hanging with the great nieces and nephews, and telling those stories about life ‘back in the day’. She was loved dearly and those who knew her had their lives enriched.

Due to COVID, funeral services will be private.
