Marcia Goober (Borin) passed away on Wednesday, January 20th after a brief illness, just days shy of her 94th birthday. She was thrilled she was able to witness the inauguration in her final moments. Marcia was born in Revere and was a proud, lifelong resident of the Boston area. Her husband, Sidney Goober, passed away far too young in 1976. Marcia was an executive secretary for Massport at Logan Airport and reveled in keeping up with the goings on of her children, Lisa and Jeff Simon in Georgia, Robin and Richard Kolko in Virginia and locally Jay Goober and Teresa Delgado and Marty and Diana Goober. She always said they were her greatest joy, at least until the grandkids were born. She really lit up when she spoke with grandchildren Austin, Ross, Jillian, Steven and Vicente, whether in person, phone or zoom. She deeply loved traveling and said her favorite trip was to China. Her kids have promised to toast her on every future trip. Her adventurous and joyous nature were not reserved only for travel, taking her first motorcycle ride at age 85. She had an abiding love of animals, especially her beloved dog Fifa, was a fierce advocate for fairness, a great Mom and Nana; she will be missed! Marcia and her family appreciated the phenomenal caretakers at Newbridge On the Charles. Marcia requested that no formal services or funeral be held and just asked that her family and friends privately drink a toast to life and happiness. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made at
