Marjorie Davis

Marjorie (Shapiro) Davis of Marlborough, MA, age 86 passed away on August 29, 2025.

Adored daughter of the late Louis and Frances Shapiro; beloved mother to Kenneth Davis (Susan Charleston), and Charles Davis; and cherished by many cousins.

Marj loved being around people and found joy working in retail.

An avid reader, Marj enjoyed mysteries and historical non-fiction. She especially enjoyed British history and biographies of strong women. She loved having meals with friends and chatting about current events. She was always up to date on the news of the day, enjoying newspapers and keeping track of national politics. Marj was candid – she didn’t shy away from expressing her opinion or debating the opinions of others.

Marj enjoyed keeping in touch with people she met in Sudbury, cousins in Florida and California and others. She would send early greeting cards for the holidays and birthdays and would never fail to check in when an impactful weather event was in the news.

Marj took an interest in people instantly, she loved hearing about their families and especially enjoyed pictures of their children and grandchildren. She loved those around her and appreciated the many folks who reached out to her with news of life events or just to say hello. Friends and strangers were delighted by her silly sense of humor – she loved to laugh – especially at the ridiculous.

Marj loved her friends and family and felt their love as well.

Services will be private.
