

Beloved wife of the late Jack “Sonny” Adler. Adored mother of Bruce (Rhonda) of OR, Craig (Kevin Aubrey) of CA, and Stacie (Charles Capone) of FL and grandmother of Mark Adler and Lauren Janousek, and two great grandchildren.
Graveside services were at B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Route 128, Peabody on Friday, July 8.

Maxine was very involved in many activities in her town of S. Palm Beach before moving to Lantana. She was a member of the board at the condo where she resided for many years. Maxine was a member of the Community Affairs Association Board (CAAB) since 1998. She arranged for guest lecturers at the town hall and she also arranged for the Safe Driving Classes to take place in the town of South Palm Beach.
She was a life long members of Hadassah. Maxine was extremely involved with Temple Beth El of W. Palm Beach where she was also a board member and instrumental in fundraising for many of the improvements that were made there.
She was an exceptional business woman who started a retail shoe business in 1970 and grew it from 1 store to 6 stores covering Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Her favorite pastime was telling stories about Cupid, the pet duck that the family had for 12 years.
She was a rare women of strength, character and class. A renaissance woman with many interests from antiquing and art to politics and world affairs. Maxine was a force of nature and if you were her friend, you were very lucky indeed. She never saw a challenge she was not able to confront and she inspired many to see beyond their own limitations.
