

Morton “Mort” B. Berlin of Prairie Village, KS, formerly of Northampton, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 92 years of age. Born in Malden, MA, he was the first son of the late Ethel (Swartz) Berlin and Hyman Berlin.
Morton leaves behind his former wife, Marianne Berlin, and their two sons: Jeffrey Berlin and his wife Robyne, and Steven Berlin. He is also survived by his former wife, Mari White, and their son, Benjamin Berlin. And he leaves behind a cherished granddaughter, Katherine, daughter of Jeffrey and Robyne, and his loving sister, Beverly (Berlin) Menzer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley.
Morton was known as Mort by his family and friends, Morty by his siblings and parents, and Mickey by his mother-in-law and father-in law. His dogs were his world to him, especially his last dog, Figaro, whom he raised for 12 years. He had adopted and fostered many others, prior to Figaro.
A proud member of the US Air Force for over twenty years, Morton served on tours of duty in both Korea and Vietnam, and eventually attained the rank of Technical Sargeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Hartford. Starting in 1980, he joined Kansas University Medical Center, where he would work for the next 18 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard, BOURNE, MA, followed by interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA.
