

Myra Lutsky Soreff, of York Beach, Maine, formerly of Peabody, Massachusetts, died peacefully, surrounded by love, on May 29, 2026, at the age of 89.
Myra was born in Holliston, Massachusetts, and moved with her family to Brookline at age seven. She graduated from Brookline High School and went on to attend the Beth Israel School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree. She later earned a BS in Psychology at Emmanuel College in Boston. Myra worked for many years as a nurse and later as a hospital administrator and gave her time in leadership volunteering in various organizations.
In 1961, she married the love of her life, Arthur “Tutsy” Soreff. They were married for 50 years before Tutsy predeceased her in 2011.
Myra and Tutsy raised two daughters, Marci Lerner and Beth Jordan. She is also survived by her two sons-in-law, Seth Lerner and Jeff Jordan, and beloved grandchildren: Ben Lerner (Kyra Yanny), Sarah Lerner-Mantel (Tyler Mantel), Jake Jordan, and Hannah Jordan.
Myra was predeceased by her sisters, Irma Philips and Joan Singer, and is survived by her brother, Charles Lutsky, of California.
Myra and Tutsy lived in Peabody, Massachusetts, for more than 30 years, where they made their home on Russell Street and were blessed with wonderful and caring neighbors who became lifelong friends. In 1999, they retired to York Beach, Maine, where they lived full-time and enjoyed their family and the coastal life they loved so much. They also spent winters in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Myra maintained many close friendships throughout her life, including several dating back to her childhood and nursing school days. Myra was an avid reader, loved knitting, Mah Jongg, and rarely missed episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. She especially loved time spent by the ocean in York Beach, where she enjoyed the sunshine, sunflowers and visiting with family and friends. She will be remembered for her spunky spirit, strong independence, and deep love of family and traditions.
Funeral service at Temple Tiferet Shalom, 489 Lowell St., Peabody on Monday, June 1 at 10:00am.
There will be no procession to the cemetery.
Following the service at the Temple, all are welcome to attend the burial which will take place in Temple Beth Shalom Memorial Park, 51 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA at 11:30am.
