Nathan J Needel

Nathan J Needel, a longtime resident of Manlius, NY, died peacefully on October 5, 2017 at Hospice of the Upstate in Anderson, SC, after a long illness. He was born on April 9, 1968, in Boston, MA. A Graveside service will be Sunday, October 22, 10:00 am, at Independent Pride of Boston Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Sylvia Needel, of Monroe, NC; his father and stepmother, Stuart and Karen Needel, of Tequesta, FL; his brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Sharon Needel, and his niece, Skyla Needel, of Delray Beach, FL; and his fiancée, Cathey Morrison, of Anderson, SC; as well as a step-daughter and two step-grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Donations in Nathan’s memory to Hospice of the Upstate, Inc., in Anderson, SC, or the American Liver Foundation, are encouraged.

Nathan graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in Manlius, NY, and attended The State University of New York at Morrisville, NY. Nathan had a successful career in the security, video surveillance, and fiber optics industry, culminating in the position of vice president for North American sales for a multinational manufacturing corporation. He was very proud of his ability to make life better for his family, friends, and coworkers. Nathan loved music, photography, downhill skiing, sailing and hiking.
