
Norman Stein, of Palm Beach, FL., formally of Boston, MA., age 76, son of the late Barney Stein and Bea Stein, passed away on December 3, 2014 while traveling with his beloved wife, Sandra Kivenko, in Rome, Italy, a country he loved. Norman, the retired vice president of sales of the co-owned family business, Grace Shoe Company, was a kind, loving, caring, and generous man with a deep love of life and those he shared it with. Whether traveling, golfing, playing bridge, sailing, going to the theater or symphony, or spending time with family and friends, he lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. Devoted father of Daniel Stein and Laura Rice Stein (Leroy Darby, Jr. and son, Lemar), and devoted grandfather of Lena Darby. Cherished stepfather of Lee Feldman (Yukiko Taniguchi) and Judd Feldman and cherished step-grandfather of Mika, Coco, and Hunter. Loved brother of Judith Yarrow and dear uncle of Jennifer Flescher. Treasured and mourned by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, on Friday, December 19 at 10:00 am. Following the interment at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, memorial observance will be at the home of Jennifer Flescher, and continuing Saturday from 11am–2pm & 4–8pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in Norman’s memory may be made to the Norman Y. Stein Music Therapy Endowment Fund, Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
