LISS, PAUL of Holliston. Entered into rest on November 22, 2012. Paul dedicated his life to community service. He spent 30 years as a member of the Holliston Auxiliary Police, beginning as a patrol officer and ultimately as a lieutenant. He spent over 20 years as an EMT on the Holliston Fire Department. He served as a deputy sheriff for the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department. He was co-founder of Breath-of-Life, a CPR and first aid training agency, with his son, Daniel. Cooking was also one of his passions, and he was active in food service management for many years before teaching food service to special needs students at vocational schools. He was a life member and secretary of the Holliston Sportsman Association. Beloved husband of Cynthia (Katz) Liss. Devoted father of David Liss and his wife Dawn of Hockessin, DE; Daniel Liss of Holliston and Rebecca Liss and fiancé Mike Roach of Franklin. Loving brother of Bonnie Blank of Phoenixville, PA. Cherished grandfather of Andrew Liss and Jeffrey Liss.A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10 AM at Congregation Ael Chunon, 334 Village Street, Millis. Interment will follow at Framingham Natick Jewish Cemetery in Natick. Memorial observance will be held immediately following interment at his late residence until 4PM, Saturday evening from 6PM-9PM and Sunday from 12PM-6PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Lustgarden Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714 or to Dana Farber, 44 Binney St, Boston, MA 02215.
