

Penny Pearlman, 82, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born on January 5, 1943, in Brookline, Massachusetts, and grew up in Newton Highlands and Brighton. Penny graduated from the Newton Public Schools, where she spent her childhood and adolescence.
For many years, Penny worked as a receptionist at the Holliston Pediatric Group in Holliston, MA, where she was known for her warmth and kindness. Penny was deeply involved in social groups, cherishing long-time friendships. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and Canasta and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan Pearlman, her mother, Emma Modes, and her father, Norman Modes. Penny is survived by her two sons, Neal and Scott; her daughter-in-law, Ellen; her grandchildren, Matthew and Allison Pearlman, and Carra Cissel and her children, Coleston and Chloe; as well as her sister, Judy Posner.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dorcas Bawa, whose care, compassion, and friendship meant so much to Penny during her final days. Dorcas was not just a caregiver but a true friend, and the family is grateful for her unwavering support. She will always be considered a cherished member of our family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, September 1, 2025 at 11:45 AM, at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
Shiva will be observed at Penny's home following the service, with visiting hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and a second sitting from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
