WHITMAN, Ruth (Soboff) of Brookline, entered into rest on February 8, 2024, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Whitman. Devoted mother of Sandra Whitman, Steven Whitman and his wife Karen, Sharyn Whitman, and the late Scott Whitman. Dear sister of the late Robert Soboff. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin Brewer, Jennifer Whitman, Emily Brewer, and Sydney Whitman and great-grandmother of Bridget. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11 at 11:30 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 1668 Beacon Street, BROOKLINE, followed by interment at American Friendship Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury. Memorial observance at Ruth’s late residence immediately following interment and continuing on Monday and Tuesday, 4-8 PM.
