Selma Rae Ratzkoff

SELMA RAE RATZKOFF. Of Brookline entered into rest May 13, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Philander S. Ratzkoff. Devoted mother of Richard Ratzkoff of Danville, NH and the late John Ratzkoff. Cherished grandmother of Bathsheba King and her husband Kenyon, Philander Solomon and Afra. Selma worked as a travel agent for over 57 years, and worked until her very last days. She was a supporter of charities too numerous to mention, and served her country in the diplomatic service during WWII. She will be remembered for her charitable service, her devotion to family, and for her many enduring friendships that span the globe.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St, BROOKLINE. Interment will follow at Pride of Boston, Woburn. Memorial observance will be held immediately following interment at Alden Castle “Veronique”, 20 Chapel St, Brookline, MA 02446, also at her late residence on Thursday from 1PM-4PM & 7PM-9PM and Friday from 1PM-4PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Boston Chapter of Hadassah, 200 Reservoir St, Needham, MA 02494.
