Born to Benjamin and Minnie Weiner on July 25, 1930 in Boston, she was raised in Mattapan.
She lived and raised her four children in Newton. Selma was the cherished wife of the late John. Beloved mother of Ellen White, Edward White (Karen Murphy and her children, Casey and Kelly), Abby White and the late Paul White.
Selma had a special gift for fostering and sustaining her many close relationships with friends and family of all generations. She was treasured by all who had the good fortune to know her.

Interment to follow in Peabody.
Memorial observance at her late residence will take place following the interment until 6:00PM, continuing Thursday 1:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM, and Sunday 1:00-4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Southern Poverty Law Center (splcenter.org) or Perkins School for the Blind (perkins.org) in Selma’s memory.
