Shelah Drezner, of Framingham, MA, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on April 8, 1940, in Boston, MA, grew up in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston, and graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School. After spending her early adult years in Boston and then Framingham, she settled in the town of Holliston and lived there for over 40 years.
Shelah spent her career as a bookkeeper and controller, managing finances at various companies and through her consulting business, aptly named Debit/Credit. She was a voracious reader and engaging conversationalist who eagerly shared her strong opinions and fiercely protected her soft, caring heart.
She was preceded in death by Paul Drezner, her husband of 49 years, her father Albert Dain, and her mother Clara Dain. She is survived by her daughter Karen Drezner, brother Leonard Dain and cousins Anita Rovner, Cheryl Lubin and Gary Lubin.
The family would like to express deep appreciation for the staff and community of Shillman House, in particular Jen Rich and Cadian Brown.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service, which will take place at the Framingham/Natick Jewish Cemetery on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11:00 am. Shiva gathering will follow on Tuesday, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Ash & Rose Studio at 1644 Concord Street, Suite 12, Framingham, MA, and at the home of Karen Drezner in New York City on Wednesday evening between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
