Sherifa Nesia Kaplan

Beloved wife of Alan F. Kaplan. Loving mother of Chandler Rose Kaplan and Sam Reis Kaplan, of Brookline. Wonderful sister to Samora Quesada and sister-in-law to Linda and Bill Johnson, of Carmel, IN, Karen and Ben Bruner, of St. Petersburg, FL, and James and Nancy Corbett, of Newburyport, MA. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Adoring daughter of the late, former Francine Quesada of NY, and daughter-in-law of Howard Kaplan, of Brookline, MA. Devoted partner to Stephen Herskovitz.

Sherifa moved to the Boston area from New York City to attend Northeastern University. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Arts and was a talented graphic artist for many years. After raising two children, she went back to college and earned a Master's Degree in Mental Health. She developed her own private practice and worked in several area hospitals specializing in helping many people work through their battles with eating disorders and other illnesses.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 10 AM, at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA. Burial in Sharon Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Reception for friends and family immediately following the service through 6pm at the Village Smokehouse, 1 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA. The family will be sitting Shivah at the home of Alan, Chandler and Sam Kaplan, on Thursday and Friday from 5:30-9pm. All friends and family are encouraged to stop by.
