Susan Saul, mathematician, quilter, librarian, passed away peacefully at home in Wayland, Massachusetts, on July 30, 2025, at 81.
Born in 1943 in Lima, Ohio, Susan went on to attend Wellesley College and study mathematics as the first woman ever to receive a Westinghouse employee scholarship, followed by a later master’s in library science from Simmons College. Susan’s careers included computer scientist, quilting and dressmaking entrepreneur, and systems manager for the Minuteman Library network. Librarian of Temple Shir Tikva for 44 years.
Devoted wife of David Saul for over 59 years. Beloved mother of Michael and Jonathan Saul. Cherished grandmother of Oliver and Miranda Saul. Survived by sisters Judy Berkman and Gail Nichols.
Funeral services will be held at Temple Shir Tikva, Wayland, on Friday, August 1st, at 11:00 AM.
