

William Arthur Berkowitz, born in 1947 in Chelsea, Massachusetts, to Frank and Frances Berkowitz, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
William was a devoted husband to Rachel (Bornstein), father to Jason (and his wife Stacy) and David (and his wife Kim), and a beloved grandfather to Lexi, Zack, Chase, and Brynn. William is survived by his two brothers, Barry Berkowitz and his wife Barbara and Steve Berkowitz (predeceased by his wife, Monique) and his best friend and cousin Richard Elfman and his wife Adrienne.
He raised his children in Framingham, Massachusetts, where he was a local fixture as a little league baseball coach. A successful entrepreneur, running the family business, Rachel’s Fabrics, before choosing to pursue a pharmacy degree later in life and proudly serving as a pharmacist at the Jamaica Plain VA, caring for veterans. William’s warmth, kibitzing, love for the beach, guitar playing, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 am at Lindwood Memorial Park, 490 North Street, Randolph, MA. Shiva will follow the service at the Sheraton Needham, 100 Cabot Street, Needham until 5:00 pm. To live stream the service https://www.levinelive.com/berkowitz
