Just want you to know that I was so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. As you know, Bill and I go way back to the 50’s growing up in Allston. I have fond memories of those days and of Bill. Please take care of yourself at this difficult moment.

 As Billy’s first cousin, once removed, I remember playing jacks with Barry and Billy on the front stoop of Bobbe’s home in Brighton. and going upstairs to Billy’s home, where Frank and Frances fed us delicious french toast.  Billy was 8 years younger than me.  I loved Frank and Frances.  The  a very close family back then, but so big that we lost touch over the years.

We know that your precious memories of Billy will bring you confirt during this painful time of mourning.

Bill or as he will always be to me Billy, was the  cement that held us all together. As kids we were the cowboys and Indians in our adjoining backyards, sledding down the hill or down Woodstock , defying anyone to drive down our street, going through comics, munching on Fritos and gathering as family in our backyards in Brighton or  in Sel and Izzy’s backyard. When I came back from Israel Bill was the one who always kept in touch. He showed me how important family was. He would always ask me how I was driving up yo the Cape from NC. You were right Barry, he would insist I take the correct route. So Rachel, David and Jason and all our family we have lost a a gentle soul but I am sure his legacy will remain in our hearts.

I was honored to be present at Bill's amazing service and wanted to extend my heartfelt condolences to all of you. I am deeply sorry for your loss.
I wish I had more opportunities to have been around Bill and experienced the greatness he brought to those around him.

Dear Rachel,

Both Susie and myself watched the livestream of Bill's service today. It was beautiful. Bill was a great guy and great friend. He was there for me after Marcy's passing almost 4 years ago. I have many fond memories of our times together, both here and in Boston. It would have never happened if Marcy had not overheard Bill talking about Greenwood avenue in Highland Park.

Marcy was very fond of Bill,  as has Susie in the short time she has known him. 

Hopefully he is finally free on the illness that bound him. 

If there is anything you need both now, or in the future, just let us know. We are here! I finally understand why Bill would call me out of the blue - that's what he did to stay in touch.

Rachel ,Marilyn and I were saddened to hear of Bills passing. He was   always a gentleman,,He enjoyed talking to us about the fabric bussiness for hours.He will be missed..Stephen and Marilyn

Aww! Even though I am thousands  of miles away and  years since I interacted with Bill and Rachel,  I will ways remember him as a sweet and wonderful guy whose sense of humor and zest for life was amazing. I spent weeks in their basement converting it and got to know them both well and if everyone in the world was as special as  Bill ( and Rachel) it goes without saying,  it would be a far better place!  RIP  Big Bill!

Rachel, Gail and I will never forget the time that you and Bill invited us be with you. Every day Bill was there to pick us up at our hotel and took us all through Boston. We will never forget you and Bills kindness and generosity. We loved Bill and want you to know how we always told our family and friends what a brilliant man our friend was. We will never forget. When we first moved to Lakes of Delray Rachel and Bill were the first to befriend us. Bill was a good friend but even better, he was a good person .  I will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to Rachel and her entire family on their loss. May Our Lord rest his soul in peace. John and Ilyana Shaia.

Bill and Rachel have been my neighbors for years now and I have cherished my friendship with them. Bill, always sweet, always saying hello when seeing me. I am so very sorry for his loss. I remember when Bill first got into Pharmacy and our talks about it, as my father was a pharmacist first in NYC then in Miami Beach.

I worked with Bill at the VA. He was a kind and gentle soul that gave great life advice. My condolences go out to the family.

Rachel , Jason, Stacy, David, Kim, Lexi, Zack, Chase and Brynn I am so very sorry for your loss of your sweet, intelligent and kind father Billy. My wife Sandra and I have known and loved Rachel and Bill for the 14 years we have lived in their Florida community. We met them in a Florida BBQ line-up and then did many things together such as a First Night new year’s downtown, card games, swimming, billiards, meals and visits and recently evening walks will Billy and friends one time around our community. Billy was a wonderful companion and so creative with his ideas that we used to joke about seeing creative sparkles from the top of his head. I miss you already Billy! Harry Mingail

Well Bill and Rachel  were my  first  neighbors  that I meet. moving to Florida. Was a pleasure  meet Bill I was always talking to him  about New England  sports.his beloved  Red Sox  Celtics   Pat's  and  sometime Bruins. Very  kind  humble gracius .Well he will be. missed  but never well be.  forgaten A pleasure  to meet  you  BILL.  RIP

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bill at The VA in JP. He was always kind and very helpful to me as I was a new tech.

One day Bill asked me if I wanted a piano and I jumped at the opportunity. I remember he told me that I could tell people that a Grammy award winning composer used to play the piano! So that is the story I tell!
He will be missed.
