Yuri Bregel, PhD, of Belmont, (formerly of Somerville, Bloomington, Indiana, Jerusalem, Israel and Moscow, Russia) on Sunday, August 7, 2016, one of the leading historians of Islamic Central Asia. He was preceded in death by his wife Liliya (Rosenberg). Survived by his daughter Natasha Bregel of Belmont, her husband Satish Pai, and their children Shanta and Arjun. Graveside services at Beth Israel Memorial Park, 190 South Street, Waltham on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00am.
