Zella "Buzzy" Axelrod

Zella (Buzzy) Axelrod, 94, of Dedham, MA, formerly of Waban, MA, passed away after a brief illness on June 27, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Marvin Axelrod. Devoted mother of Diane Sutch, her husband Malcolm; Robin Stone, her husband Jerry; Ellyn Axelrod and her husband Mark Bowman. Cherished grandmother of Becky (Marc) Touchette; Andy Stone (Kathryn Frazier); Meredith Sutch (John Kingdeski); Matt Stone (Erin Rhoda); Neal Bowman; Melanie Bowman (María Rebolleda Gómez). Adoring great grandmother to Milo & Phoebe Stone; Saige & Crew Kingdeski; Ben Touchette; Wilder & Sonia Stone. Dear sister of the late Joyce Heiman of New York City.

Services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 10 AM in the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, livestream viewing available using the following link: www.levinelive.com/axelrod

Burial will follow in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Memorial observance will be held at the Interfaith Chapel at NewBridge on the Charles, 5000 Great Meadow Road, Dedham, from 1:30-3:30 PM and will resume from 6:30-8:30 PM at the same location.
