Rest assured there was not anything that she could have wanted that a devoted son, or family member, a close friend, or one of her dedicated caregivers did not provide to Angelina in the final years of her life.
She knew she was loved and cared for everyday…every minute of the day! They stayed by her side while she faced all that she had to endure during these last years.
Angelina was a strong, simple women whose life was not always an easy one. One of her most important attributes revolves around the dedication she had to her family. She survived the unimaginable loss of two of her grown children, something a mother should never have to do, but she still carried on in her life.
In the last decade of her life, she was able to celebrate and enjoy many wonderful days. She cherished when family would gather and there would be music and dancing, delicious food, funny jokes, out-loud laughs and so much love. This is what brought her joy. She was one of the matriarchs of her family and everyone treated her with that respect.
She also got the opportunity to take numerous trips back to her homeland with her son to re-connect with relatives that simply adored her. These were wonderful adventures for Angelina.
When she was home in her apartment in Brooklyn, she spent hours talking about a life that we will soon not forget with family and friends. There was always a central theme to her stories and thoughts, the source of her loved stemmed from her family.
Rest in peace our Precious Angelina. We will not soon forget your life well lived. GONE but never forgotten.
