Elizabeth and family, We are so sorry for your loss. He was a delight to spend time with, so glad we moved in next door to such a great neighbor.
 Sal would  walk or bike around the Park and surrounding areas for years, everyone knew and loved him!

My father was the sweetest, kindest and funniest man that I ever knew.  He was gentle and patient and always brought a smile to my face. He was a proud veteran of WW II and a retiree of the New York City Sanitation department. He grew up in East New York, Brooklyn where he spent his days playing ball, going to the movies, helping his dad at the store and trying to stay out of trouble.  He was the youngest of 11 children and the last surviving sibling.  Later in life, he met and married my mom, Angie, and they spent many more years in Brooklyn.  I had a wonderful childhood and have countless happy memories of growing up.  In 1992, my parents moved to Florida and my dad spent his days swimming, biking, walking and listening to Jimmy Roselli.  In 2001, my mom passed away and my dad lived alone until 2008 when he came to live with my family in Brooklyn. He spent the next five years here with us in our home. Not a day went by that he didn't make us laugh with a funny story, a silly song or a knock knock joke. My dad was a special man and I will miss him dearly.

Neil, you have gone above and beyond what any other son in law would have ever done...you are amazing.
Andrew, the relationship you built with your grandpa as an adult is so special and I am so happy you have such wonderful memories of him.  You gave him your all.
Dana, I am so glad Grandpa got to go to your wedding and enjoy it all.  You were his special little girl and the times you spent together were some of the happiest days of his life.
Grace, for always loving my dad like he was your own and for being there for me till the end.........and beyond.
Paula, for being with me and my dad in the growing up years....and always remembering the fun times.
Joseph, Camille, MaryAnn and RoseMarie, for never forgetting my dad.
Adi, for treating Grandpa like he was your own.
